The Adventures of McDuck Part 13

Part XIII

I am loosing track of the days here in Moorea. Lisa and I accompany Ron and Kerriann when they sing, we spend the days pottering around the garden, we swim every day and the girls are still on their backgammon marathon. Jan has been over for a swim bringing with her the most amazing egg free chocolate cake for Lisa to eat and was so happy when she completed a swim around the point with Lisa and Kerriann. She has suggested that we go to the Pearl tomorrow night to see the Tahitian dancers. Ron has a cold and so it will just be the girls and myself. Kerriann has offered to drive as Jan is nervous of driving at night.

The girls spent today clearing the storm drain of its accumulated leaves and coconuts. The sand that has blocked the beach end was loaded into buckets and relocated to the 'new' beach in an attempt to cover the coral. They worked very hard at it and I duly rewarded them with their bowls of ice-cream upon its completion.

Our banana supply is however running low so another regime has been moved into the bathroom to finish ripening. Lisa had the honour of cutting this new regime from the tree amidst great laughter from Kerriann as she fought her way through the undergrowth to reach said banana tree.

Alex, Pepsi's owner has also been over to see if Pepsi is ever coming home. With so much activity happening over here Pepsi is only popping home for her food and is then coming straight back, even the cat seems to have taken up residence!

In an attempt to keep Pepsi home Alex has invested in a tie with a clip that will attach to her collar. We had a quiet evening in her absence and then at 9pm, looking so very proud of herself, Pepsi arrived trailing what was left of her 'tie'.

Rascals thought this was a great fashion accessory and tried to pull it off her.

Pepsi sat down totally unimpressed.

Unable to remove the tie from Pepsi's collar, Rascals then proceeded to take her for a walk with it.

This impressed Pepsi even less and she looked on with positive disdain as Rascals rolled back and forth pulling her as she went! For the sake of her dignity as well as her sanity, it was eventually decided to remove what was left of the 'tie' until later.

When Pepsi eventually returned home Lisa set about a gentle exercise routine with Rascals,

explaining the importance of good stretches

and regular yoga positions!
